At ZAMBELIS S.A. we believe that the protection of the Environment, including the fight against Climate Change, is a priority challenge for the global community, and we must contribute to addressing it by working towards minimizing the environmental footprint of our activities.

Our company’s operations are guided by an Environmental Management System in compliance with the ISO14001:2015 standard. We constantly review our operations and processes and set goals to improve our environmental performance. Our Environmental Policy highlights our dedication to an environmental responsible operation, including measures for energy efficiency and emissions reduction, the responsible use of resources, responsible waste management in our facilities and the delivery of energy-efficient, durable, and aesthetically superior lighting solutions.

We are currently in the process of measuring our carbon emissions for Scope 1 and 2. In parallel, we are designing and gradually implementing measures to reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency, aiming to lower our carbon footprint across our premises and operations.

We are progressively transitioning our vehicle fleet to hybrid/electric models, significantly contributing to emissions reduction and advancing our commitment to sustainable practices.

Resource Management:
We prioritize utilizing materials with recycled content in both our products and packaging.

Product Lifecycle Management:
ZAMBELIS S.A. actively participates in the circular economy by providing products designed for repair, refurbishment, or recycling and by offering repair/refurbishment services to its customers. These practices not only prolong the lifespan of our products but also prevents waste generation.

Waste Management in our operation:
The company makes sure that all waste generated in its premises (including production, warehouse and office spaces) is managed in a responsible way. The reuse or recycling of generated waste is prioritized and preferred.

LED Innovations: We have adopted LED innovations, leading the way in energy-efficient lighting. LEDs utilize considerably less energy and boast a much longer operational life than conventional lighting options, thereby decreasing both energy consumption and waste.

Intelligent Lighting Systems: Our company provides intelligent lighting systems that enhance control over energy consumption. These systems often incorporate features such as dimming options and timers, which assist in reducing energy usage by adjusting to the requirements of the environment and the user.

Durable Design Philosophy: Our products are crafted with durability in mind, ensuring they stand the test of time. This approach minimizes the need for frequent replacements, thereby lessening the environmental impact linked to manufacturing, transportation, and waste disposal.

Zampelis S.A. considers Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) as a fundamental priority and an integral part of its responsible operation. Our goal is the continuous assurance of a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, partners, suppliers, contractors/subcontractors, customers and other visitors of our facilities. The health, and safety provisions of ZAMBELIS S.A. are incorporated into its Occupational Health and Safety System, and also into its Quality Management System and Environmental Management System. These provisions are constantly monitored, evaluated and updated when needed, while  compliance with these provisions is also ensured via periodic training and drills, with the participation of both management and employees.

ZAMBELIS S.A actively participates in initiatives that extend its commitment to sustainability beyond products. This includes supporting environmental efforts, engaging in community activities, offering educational seminars on energy conservation, and donating to meet the needs of the local community. Recently, the company donated a defibrillator to EPAL Lavriou (a technical high school in our local community), enhancing the school’s health and safety measures.

The ZAMBELIS SA Code of Conduct & Ethics sets forth the core principles and offers guidance to the Board of Directors, the employees, the business partners, the auditors, and other affiliates/third parties working on behalf of or in the interest of the company, regarding the standards of behaviour and ethical business practices expected of them. The Code ensures that everyone acts with integrity, professionalism, and in alignment with the company's values and objectives.

The primary goal of the Code is to convey and promote the values that ZAMBELIS SA upholds and embraces across all levels, ensuring these values guide the actions, behaviours, and decisions of all its employees and partners.
